 Money can’t buy happiness

 You’ve heard that saying ring

 But money can buy horses

 And that’s the same dang thing

Buy a horse and you’ll agree

 My observation’s true

 Might just be the finest thing

 You’ll likely ever do

That horse will bring you comfort

 A thousand pounds of friend

 Bring hours of enjoyment

 On that you can depend

Sure, you’ll say “So long, money!”

 That truth I will concede

 But you will barely miss it

 Spend’n it on your steed

Money can’t buy happiness

 At least that’s what they say

 But money can buy horses

 I’ll take that any day
